It’s been a long time since we’ve touched base and there’s a lot to share! We hope that you and yours are doing well, and that those you care about continue to take proper precautions against both COVID-19 and the flu.
Before we start with our news, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to provide dental care to you and your loved ones. Keeping your mouth healthy is what we love to do, and we are thankful to you for trusting us with your safety. Thank YOU, Diane Younkins, for your appreciation and permission to share your postcard.
We are happy to report that we’re now open two Saturdays each month from 8-2 PM, with Dr. Hailemelecot and our awesome hygiene team. Please call us about Saturday hours and availability.
Our updated website now has pandemic-related FAQs (as well as normal ones), a description of what to expect during your visit, and an extensive description of how we’re protecting you, including from aerosols. We’ve also updated our Doctor and Team Member pages so that you can see what we look like outside the office, in photos that were submitted by those portrayed.
A Warm Welcome to Dr. H
Some of you have already met Dr. Ellen Hailemelecot (Dr. H., for short). A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, she joins our team with an impeccable and impressive resume in pediatric dentistry and comprehensive treatment planning.
Dr. H. keenly focuses on an integrative approach to dental care: if you have a chipped tooth she’ll not only fix it, but also explore the possibility that the damaged tooth is a result of grinding your teeth while you sleep, which could, in turn, be caused by sleep apnea. She says that “the mouth is the window to the whole body,” in that many systemic diseases can be identified first in the mouth.
Dr. H. displays an outstanding chairside manner with children — even the ones who are scared of the dentist. She loves dogs, hiking, swimming, and being outdoors.
Dr. H is treating patients on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and selected Saturdays. At other times during the week she performs hygiene exams. Please call our office at 301-663-8300 to schedule an appointment with her!
Our New and Improved Dental Health Club
We understand that many of our patients are currently experiencing financial hardship or may have lost their dental insurance due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19. Maybe COBRA payments are too high.
We’ve revamped our Dental Health Club, in the hope that our in-house membership plan will help our patients afford the dental services they need in order to maintain a healthy smile.
Take a look at our new plan options and give us a call to sign up!
Be safe, be well, take care, and don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour on November 1!
