New Patients
Are you accepting new patients?
We never say “no” to nice people. We try to see patients within a week of their contacting us for tooth or gum problems. If you tell us that the problem is urgent, we will make every effort to see you that same day. Our office is open to patients Monday through Friday.
What will my child's first visit be like?
A child’s first experience at the dental office should be fun and positive. To reduce the child’s fear of the unknown, we generally show them everything we do, before we do it. We will count their teeth, play with their teeth, perhaps take some photographs or x-rays, and (depending on need) clean their teeth. At the end of their first visit the child leaves the office with some toy prizes and a positive experience.
Your child may sit on your lap for their appointment. If they’d prefer to sit in the chair by themselves, you are welcome to remain in the treatment room if you wish.
If we find that treatment is necessary, we will discuss all available options with you.
How can I pay for my dental treatment?
We are proud to offer an in-house Dental Health Club, specifically designed to make dental care more affordable for those without dental insurance. We also offer a senior citizen discount, and cash discounts for procedures over $500.
We participate with Cherry and Care Credit. Whether you are in- or out-of-network, we will submit your insurance claims and determine co-payments in advance of your scheduled treatment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Any appointment that is not canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice will be considered a missed appointment. Missed appointments will incur a fee of $100.00. After 3 missed appointments, you may be dismissed from the practice.
If you know you’ll be missing an appointment, please call us in advance and we’ll be glad to reschedule you.
What paperless systems do you have for patient convenience?
You can fill out our forms online as soon as you have an appointment, our front desk team will send you a link.
Our credit card reader is touchless and receipts can be emailed.
Finally, we only use paper charts when we perform procedures in a hospital. Your medical records are securely maintained in our HIPAA-compliant EMR system.
Services Offered
Do you perform cosmetic dentistry?
Yes. We make white resin or porcelain fillings, porcelain crowns, and tooth- colored veneers. We also offer teeth whitening.
What can you do to ease my anxiety?
You can watch cable TV, videos, or listen to music during treatment. If you are very apprehensive, we can prescribe sedation medicine prior to treatment, and use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) during treatment.
Can you put me to sleep while you perform my dental work?
We do not offer IV sedation in the office. However, if you prefer to be completely asleep, Dr. Levy can treat you at a hospital operating room on a same-day-in-and-out basis. When you wake up, the dental work is done, and you have absolutely no recollection of the procedures. General anesthesia is safely performed by a physician anesthesiologist or CRNA anesthetist.
How do you treat patients with special needs?
We designate Tuesdays from 9 AM to 1 PM exclusively for patients with special needs such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, and Alzheimer’s Disease.
Our office is wheelchair and gurney accessible. Patients never have to be moved into an office chair. Our hygienists and doctors can perform cleanings and other procedures while you sit in one of our nine comfortable treatment room chairs, sit in your own wheelchair, recline on a gurney, or are sedated or asleep at a dental surgery center or hospital operating room. We also attend to patients in local hospitals, nursing homes, and other off-site locations.
All patients, whether developmentally, intellectually or physically challenged, are treated respectfully and thoroughly by a highly trained and experienced team. If need be, work can be performed safely and conveniently via office sedation or under hospital general anesthesia.
